How much antifouling do I need?

You can work out the amount of antifouling paint you need using these simple steps:

  1. Work out the area you’ll need to paint using the formula that fits your boat type below.
  2. Divide the area by the coverage of the paint you’ve chosen to work out how many litres per coat you’ll need.
  3. Finally, multiply the litres per coat by the number of coats to give you the total amount of paint required.

You can use our Paint Estimator to determine how much paint is required. Just enter the type and dimensions of your boat, the product you're using and the number of coats required, and you'll receive a helpful estimate.
